Sugar Beach Resort is continuing to do exterior renovations which include repairing of the balconies, replacement of the air conditioning systems and roof replacements that began on November 19, 2007 and is scheduled for completion by July, 2009. The work includes repairing the concrete on the vertical walls and lanais, scraping and removing the old paint, then sealing and painting the walls, walkways and lanais. Phase II will begin in July, 2008 and will include replacing the roof and entire air conditioning system of each building. The hours of work is scheduled for 7:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday and intermittent Saturdays. Unfortunately, some of this work may require the use of chipping and/or jackhammers which will be noisy and dusty. The contractor has advised that while the work being done is quite extensive, the disruption to guests staying in adjacent units will hopefully be minimal. The pool and all shops will remain open and there is still "beach access." Blocks are being implemented throughout the property to try and keep guests away from the scheduled work.
